What is A CRM & Do You Need One?
Customer relationship management (CRM) is a technology for managing all of your company's relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers. The goal is simple: Improve business relationships to grow your business.
The top two CRM platforms that I have personally used and love are Honeybook & Dubsado. I plan to do a comparison post, but both are great platforms for their own reasons!
Now I know what you are thinking…
DO I NEED A CRM FOR MY BUSINESS?
The simple answer is yes!
You may not need one as you begin your business, because you don’t REALLY know your system for your business at that point. You know what I mean right? The steps you take with every client from inquiry to testimonial. But once you do… YES! It’s absolutely time to set your business up with a CRM!
CONTRACTS - Do you send contracts to be signed and returned to you using some form of free or paid software?
GETTING PAID - Do you use another software to send invoices? And please tell me you are sending invoices to be paid and not doing Venmo or Zelle for your business!
SCHEDULING - Do you use yet another third-party app or website to let your client schedule an appointment with you?
ONBOARDING - Do you have documents and files that you send to every client to be read and filled out so that you have the knowledge you need to be able to perform your service to the best of your abilities for that client?
If you answered YES to any of these, then you absolutely need a CRM for your business! Not only can you do all of these things in Dubsado or Honeybook, but you can also AUTOMATE a good bit of it so that you have a workflow that is doing what you need, even when you aren’t at the computer. Did I mention that if you are paying for any of the apps that you are using to do any of the items mentioned above, you will likely save money by having it all in one place?
I will never forget the day that I started using Dubsado all those years ago, because my business was forever changed. I now use Honeybook but love them both for different reasons, but they can each be set up so that they look like a beautiful extension of the brand that you have already established!
