Welcome to Vestra Design Co. formerly known as Tiffany Kuehl Designs!
After 12 years of business, I made the monumental decision to take the leap and rename my business. This honestly means starting over in so many ways, but I know that in the end, it will be worth it!
So WHY did you change the name?
This is kind of a multi-part answer.
Honestly, the name change has been on my mind for years. When I initially started my business it was never meant to be my actual name, but in the early days someone bought my domain out from me and we decided to simply change my business from TKD Designs to Tiffany Kuehl Designs.
Then about a year and a half ago my Facebook account was hacked. It was so bad that I had to immediately go file a police report and was advised to stay out of my Facebook account while the investigation was ongoing. Of course, I did what I was told. But did you know that with Facebook you only have so many days to dispute something? Guess what… Neither did I! I stayed off of Facebook for several months. I had no idea at the time, but my name which also happened to be my business name was blacklisted. I was never going to be able to share my link or advertise on anything meta-related ever again. Talk about frustrating.
We had already come up with a new business name a while back, and just never made the change because it was scary to rebrand after so long. But this was that big nudge we needed, and I LOVE the direction we are heading.
What Does Vestra mean?
Vestra
a Latin word meaning "your" (possessive)
I have always made it clear to my clients that while obviously, my design style plays a part in what we are creating, the result is YOUR DESIGN and needs to feel like you and represent your business in its best light. So naming my business something that literally means Your Design Company felt like a no-brainer to me, and I love how Vestra Design Company sounds.
